Cycling experience in Lake Mburo National Park,  Lake Mburo National Park is nestled at Kiruhura District Nyabushozi county it is one of the smallest savanna parks in Uganda, comprises of an area of 370 kilometer.  By air transport

Lake Mburo National Park can be reached by air from Entebbe international airport or kajjansi Airstrip near Kampala city. Using Uganda domestic flight network scheduled or chartered air craft to Mbarara airstrip, the flight typically takes one hour and half minutes then transfer by road to Lake Mburo National Park.

By road transport

Using road transport one can spend approximately four to five hours from Kampala. There are two different roads that connect Lake Mburo to the main surfaced road between Masaka and Mbarara.

Coming from the west the better approach road branches south at Sanga 37km east of Mbarara coming from Kampala. One can enter to the park through the Sanga gate or Nsharagate gate

For bettering travelling experience you are advised to use 4X4 safari tourists Vehicle, because some roads are in bad state at time are slippery muddy mostly in the rainy season.

Best time to go for cycling in lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park can be visited thought the year although for the better cycling experience tourist are advised to have it during the dry season of the year, which fall between June and August or December and February,

During dry seasons the trailheads are less slippery and muddy hence rewards clear views of the attractions since they are not obstructed by rain mists.

Rwakobo Rock lodge comprises of the 8 cottages situated on two kilometers from the Nshara gate it looks attractive simple but comfortable located outside the park, is individually positioned in secluded sites across the kopje though each has a view of 360 regional paranoma

While at this lodge zebras are easily spotted out by visitors owns nice looking guest rooms well established restaurant that serves both local and international delicious cuisines, their bar is fully stocked with hard and soft drinks like beers, wines, spirits sodas mineral water among others.

Rwonyo rest camp

Rwonyo Rest Camp their booking is done through the wild life authority office this is a pleasant camp site though a rather unimaginative choice given its approximately situated to the lovely shore’s lake Mburo shoreline, while here you can cook or move to the restaurant with the safety of the game ranger.
